Design Showcase #8 – Minimalist Web Designs

Posted by on in Case Studies, Web Design

Minimalist designs, are designs that use as few elements as possible. These websites achieve a more meaningful simplicity by taking a ‘less is more’ approach to design. They do this by having a single core idea: make it clear on what the site is all about. The benefits of minimalist websites are that they load considerably faster, take fewer server resources and are often faster to develop than more graphically complicated designs.

The main drawback of using this design is that some people view them as boring and empty, but there’s a real art to an effective minimal design, when you limit the number of graphic elements, you put focus on negative space and typography, which will be beneficial in developing interest to get visitors to take action.

Minimalist designs give a professional impression, below are some examples of clean, simple and minimalist designs.
