The design brief provided for Islamic Relief was slightly unusual. Islamic Relief wanted a web design which would allow their website to, essentially, become an interactive online report for their activities which can be accessed and viewed by anyone. So the site needed to be clear and easy to navigate in order to get the information across in an effective way.
Through discussions with Islamic Relief, we identified how they wanted their information to be displayed and began to build their branding and design around that requirement.
In the end we delivered a very attractive and informative website which serves a very different purpose to many other websites out there. It’s very easy to find the information visitors want and is a far more robust alternative to a standard paper report.
As online information nowadays is increasingly accessed through mobile and tablet devices, it was important that the site was optimised for accessibility via mobile and tablet devices.
To deliver the brief, the route we chose for the Islamic Relief annual report website was to utilise responsive web design, which could allow the site to display differently depending on the screen size of the device it is being accessed through.
Islamic Relief now have an annual report website which automatically loads the different website structure most suitable for the users device, which saves site visitors from having to pinch to zoom in or out.
